On September 24th (starting 11pm) I will have a DJ set at Madame Claude, Lübbenerstraße 19. Why not drop by and say how-do-you-do.

How to Make Noise screens this month in the paper-media exhibition Vasfü IV, 21-25 September at the Miskolci Galéria in Hungary.

This month I’ve been invited for two retrospective screenings of my short films. Spooky. One happens on September 6th at S.I.N. Bar Kvartina No. 62, Lübbenerstraße 18 as part of Spitzenkino; the second is on September 14th, 9pm at the Altes Finanzamt

AUGUST 2011

Jonah and the Vicarious Nature of Homesickness will screen in the Special Program of the 10th International Kansk Video Festival, August 19-27th in Siberia.

JULY 2011

Legacy (music video for Alcoholic Faith Mission) has been invited to screen at the Ballhaus Ost Musikvideoabend on July 9th. This month it has also been featured on Radar Music Videos and selected for the Seoul International Extreme-Short Image & Film Festival in October.

JUNE 2011

How to Make Noise will screen as part of the Random Access Memory exhibition at Mica Moca (Berlin) from 24-26 June.

Coincidentally, Jonah and the Vicarious Nature of Homesickness will also screen at Mica Moca as part of the Morgenvogel Real Estate exhibition on July 1st, 7pm.

MAY 2011

Jonah and the Vicarious Nature of Homesickness screens in-competition at Shortcutz Berlin on May 5th.

Genau! Sardinia have invited me and two other artists for a residency in Sardinia in June. I’ll be working on a project while there, then participating in a group exhibition in Berlin later in the year. More details as they come.

We just launched the music video for Legacy by the Danish band Alcoholic Faith Mission. On May 5th it’ll be Video Of The Day on AOL/Spinner, but anyway I’ve embedded it on this page. (FYI, the five mice we used came pre-frozen for snake consumption. Waste not want not.)

APRIL 2011

Upcoming DJ sets:
16.04 11pm @ Amandus Film Festival, Norway (eclectic shimmy)
19.04 11pm @ Madame Claude, Berlin (eclectic noddy)
21.04 5-8pm @ Lomography Gallery Store, Berlin (chiptune)

On the 5th of April there was a secret screening of Film for the Boxed and Jonah and the Vicarious Nature of Homesickness. But what’s the point of that?

This month I’ll be a guest speaker at the Amandus Film Festival for Young Filmmakers in Norway, and some of my films will be screened too. Me = nervous.

MARCH 2011

The Nipkow Programm have awarded me a writing fellowship for my first feature-length screenplay (working title,The Geometry of Apocalypse). Every year these guys offer grants for European media professionals to develop projects in Berlin, which is a pretty spiffy thing indeed. Visit their website for more details.

MUSIC FOR REMORSEFUL LONG-HAUL FLIGHTS THAT NEVER LEAVE THE GROUND
You know that expression, “parting is such sweet sorrow?” And you know when you indulge that sweet sorrow until you actually miss your flight? Yes, well, this is a mixtape to soundtrack that experience.
